MyFitteds.com, No More Pre-orders
MyFitteds.com, has made a public announcement that the company will no longer be doing pre-orders in the near future. However, they made it clear that they are not completely getting rid of pre-orders but rather taking a break away from it. This decision came about because of many issues but the primary one being chargebacks. Customers would purchase a pre-order fitted hat and become impatient of the 3+ month waiting time and file a chargeback fraud/scam complaint. The customer would receive their money back which I would imagine cause trouble with My Fitteds creating & managing the pre-orders. It would also cause issues with their merchant payment processor. When a company receives too many chargebacks the payment processing company often times no longer process transaction for the company or reclassify the business as a High Risk merchant which can include higher transaction fees among other things. This of course will not be good for My Fitteds. Customers have mixed feelings about this announcement, however, most supports My Fitteds decision.
MyFitteds.com Official Statement
UPDATE: ALL PRE-ORDERS ALREADY CLOSED AND IN THE SYSTEM ARE NOT AFFECTED AND WILL SHIP AS SCHEDULED.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN PRE-ORDERS ARE DONE AND OVER WITH. WE ARE JUST TAKING A BREAK.
As you know, our mission and philosophy is to offer the most eclectic selection of caps in the galaxy. We are continuously working around the clock with concepts to reality approach.
First an update on December pre-orders. They are on time and will ship by the end of April, 2021.
We have decided to take a hiatus on preorders as of today. From now on, extremely popular items will be considered for future re-stocks.
Apparently, many of you feel that the waiting 3 months for a pre-order is daunting task. To this day, since the pre-orders closed, we have received thousands of emails about 1.) address change 2.) size change 3.) additions and subtractions of styles 4.) cancellation requests 5.) What is the ETA of the pre-orders was the majority of emails since mid-March.
Pre-orders were offered as a good will gesture to allow those who missed out on the initial drop to be able to secure their hats.
The number of people filing chargebacks proclaiming that this fraud or a scam has been overwhelming. Main reason behind these disputes and claims? No where did it say it was a pre-order. We kid you not.
Other issues at hand also contributed to this decision as well. Pre-order minimums have not been met every subsequent pre-orders offered. Supply chain issues, delivery failures and overall management has become drastically overwhelming.
Yes, it sucks for those who followed protocol and you may blame the “few” that have messed it up for you. However, that is not the only case. We just simply can’t handle it and would rather focus on releases going forward.
So, there you have it folks: TL:DR. We are halting pre-orders going forward and instead may release popular items as a restock later on.
As always thank you for your support.
