The 6 Most Important Trades of the NFL Offseason

This NFL offseason had some blockbuster trades that included some of the biggest stars in the league. Some of these trades took teams from average to Super Bowl contenders. Below we break down six of the most important trades that have occurred since the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl.

6. Khalil Mack (Los Angeles Chargers)

Khalil Mack

The Los Angeles Chargers were already seen as one of the best teams in the AFC. With this trade acquiring Khalil Mack to pair with Joey Bosa as outside rushers, Los Angeles should now be feared on both sides of the ball. The Chargers already had a great offense, but now they may also have the best pass rush in the entire league, which many people believe is the most important thing a team can have outside of an elite quarterback.

5. Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns)

Deshaun Watson

Deshaun Watson would be a lot higher on this list but it is unknown when he will actually play for the Browns. In his time in the league already he has been one of the best quarterbacks as a passer and playmaker. If Watson is able to avoid suspension, he could be the most impactful acquisition of the offseason. In the chance he is suspended, it could be hard for the Browns to be good enough for them to be in a position to make the playoffs when he does come back.

4. Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins)

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the entire league. Since being acquired by the Dolphins from Kansas City, people have been talking about them making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. He has the unique ability to take any pass all the way to the end zone and could win a game for any team with one play.

3. Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders)

Davante Adams

One of the best wide receivers in the NFL the last few seasons has been Davante Adams. The Raiders were a good team last year making the wildcard game, and now they are expected to be even better with Adams. One piece missing from the Raiders was a true No. 1 receiver. Pairing him with Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller should take this team to the next level this upcoming season.

2. Matt Ryan (Indianapolis Colts)

Matt Ryan

This Colts team has been missing a quality starting quarterback since Andrew Luck retired. They may have finally found one in Matt Ryan to take this team from good to great. In 2020, this team went 11-5, and last season they won nine games before losing the last two regular season games causing them to miss the playoffs. Look for Ryan to lead this team on a deep playoff run.

1. Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos)

Russell Wilson

The Broncos have had a good defense and wide receiver group for a few years now. Arguably the missing piece has always been a top quarterback. Broncos haven't had a top-20 quarterback since 2015, now, they traded for the longtime Seahawk, Russell Wilson. He is expected to take this team to the playoffs and potentially on a Super Bowl run this year.
