Lids Hat Drop just released their Thermal Scan fitted hats on August 16th, 2022. The drop was initially set to be released on August 12th but Lids stated that they suspect fraudulent activity on their site from possible resellers using "Auto Buy Bots" (which we've written about) to grab the hats leaving real hat collectors unsatisfied. Unfortunately no one seems to have a solid solution to the reseller issue which is more problematic in the sneaker world and for items such as PS5 but has now crept into the hat industry. Long story short Lids delayed the release until they've integrated some security measures to fight against the auto buy bots.

The New Era 59FIFTY fitteds features a calming blue, yellow and front door red colorway. The undervisor of the fitted is also front door red with a white sweatband. The front oanel features a thermal scan logo embroidery and a side patch embroidery on the right panel. Approximately 23 fitted hats were released in the Thermal Scan collection.
