Atlanta Braves Logo History
The Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves is one of the charter members of the National League. The Braves were established in 1876; however, few people know that the Braves spent most of their franchise history outside Atlanta. Believe it or not, the Braves spent more than eight decades in Boston and underwent numerous name changes. Their list of monikers included the Red Stockings, Red Caps, Beaneaters, Bees and Doves among others. After a previous 23-year stint (1912-1935), the franchise stuck with the Braves nickname in 1941. The Braves were located in Milwaukee briefly after leaving Boston before ultimately ending up in Atlanta. It is no secret that the Atlanta Braves have an extensive logo history.
